When is the best time to visit Ha Giang loop?

From Sep to Nov is the best time to visit Ha Giang loop, the weather is not too hot and cold. But you always can do the loop anytime you want. Why? Because Ha Giang offers many beautiful landscapes, even when you do the Ha Giang loop on foggy days, you still have amazing views because the scenes change every path when you go up and down.

Note: From May to Aug is the flood season so make sure you check the weather before coming to Ha Giang.

How to get to Ha Giang from Hanoi?

I’d recommend take a VIP Sleeper bus, it’s very comfortable and only takes about 6-7 hours. You can buy tickets on 12go.asia or at any tourism offices in Old Quarters.

I took a VIP sleeper bus at 1 pm and arrived Ha Giang at 7 pm, slept overnight at Ha Giang Sun Hotel and started doing the loop at 8:30 AM. Some hop on the sleep bus overnight (at 9-10 pm in Hanoi) and arrive Ha Giang at 4-5 AM. Take a rest for a while and start doing the loop at 8-9 AM.
